"The Story of the Four Chaplains"- Of the 920 men who left NewYork on the U.S.A.T. Dorchester on january 23rd, 1943, only 230 survived the torpedo attack brought upon them by a German u-boat. Four chaplains accompanied 668 men on their way to frigid, watery graves along with the ship. The Barb sank more tonnage than any sub in history, and was responsible for launching the only ground raid on the island of Japan during the war, during which its crew dynamited a train successfully.
