One of my favorite podcasts. Great stories and great storytelling. Wonderful way to travel.
Soothing and Informative
I like to listen to these episodes at night, the stories are interesting enough to keep my attention, but not loud or scary so I can listen to one and then fall asleep...
Good, not great.
Great topics, but the narrator's style is extremely fast paced and abrupt.
1001 Reasons to Listen
I have just started binge listening to this podcast and I'm only on the third episode but I'm already dreading coming to the end. These are great stories. Short, to the point and yet very interesting. No bells and whistles to distract from the stories that need no embellishments.
First Rate!!!
The host is engaging and lively. Great sound quality. The content is fascinating and varied. This is a Great Podcast!!! If you love well known history subjects with little known nuggets of info sparkled thru it, you'll Love this one!
Great listen
Love it. A daily download for me.
Very well done.
This is good stories that are well told. A must to add to your podcast stream.
i love this guy's voice
Mr. Hagadorn had that sort of mature almost grandfatherly type of voice of that really adds that extra something to the stories and narration.
Four and Twenty Blackbirds
Love this podcast and Lindon Bridge is Falling Down. Learned the meanings behind nursery rhymes. I had no idea!!
Love the stories and the story telling
I LOVE this podcast! I came upon it by chance and fell in love with it instantly. The stories highlighted are fun and relatively unknown or bring to light a new angle from a well-known history which makes them that much more intriguing. The narrator's voice is pleasant and makes me feel like I'm listening to some relative tell me stories around a campfire or dinner table. Give it a shot! I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
Super Stories to Educate and Entertain
This is one of the best podcast I have listened to. It is very entertaining and informative. Be sure to check out his other podcast, 1001 Classic Short Stories. It too will entertain you. Still trying to catch up. Enjoying every minute.
Wide range of interesting topics.
A great podcast which present an interesting array of subject matter, some of which I've heard about, while others I never knew. All are well done and seem well researched. Keep them coming, looking forward to more!
A Gold MIne Of Fun Facts!

One of my favorites
This podcast is well researched and presented in a fantastic way. John has a knack for entertaining stories, both choosing them and telling them. Production is a little messed up at times, but does not take away from the value.

Informative and entertaining! I enjoy this podcast as an amateur historian.
A great find
Although there are many podcasts to choose from, its rare to to come across one that captures your attention the way this one does. While being informative and educational it also entertains and sparks the imagination with its great narration and moving musical accompaniment. I recently discovered this and am downloading previous episodes while looking forward to future ones. Keep em coming!!
Chief Joseph
This episode was painful to listen to. It saddens me when I hear how the native Americans were treated in the early years of our country. I'm enjoying this podcast because of the variety of subjects and the interesting information.
