STATE EXECUTIONER and THE LITTLE PEOPLE LIGHTS OUT!

STATE EXECUTIONER

In this chilling episode of Lights Out!, a state executioner looks back on a lifetime spent sending condemned prisoners to their deaths. But one execution stands apart. When evidence comes into his hands that could save an innocent young man, the executioner must decide whether justice matters more than his own disturbing fascination with his profession.

What follows is a grim story of guilt, conscience, and judgment, as a man who has spent his life dealing out death discovers that some debts cannot simply be forgotten. State Executioner was originally broadcast March 17, 1937. [Old Time R...xecutioner], [youtube.com]

THE LITTLE PEOPLE

A celebrated explorer learns that his wife has betrayed him, but instead of exploding in anger, he responds with an almost frightening calm. Beneath that calm exterior, however, something much darker is taking shape.

The Little People becomes a strange psychological nightmare of betrayal, revenge, and a conscience that refuses to remain silent. Like the best episodes of Lights Out!, it begins with recognizable human emotions and gradually carries them into a place where reality itself seems to turn against the guilty. The surviving 1943 broadcast is dated July 27, 1943. [oldtime.radio], [archive.org]
