Just listened to all three of the Battle of Little Bighorn episodes and thoroughly enjoyed them. It’s apparent the host has a great grasp of the material, and he knows how to relate it in a compelling way. Well done.

Not interested!!

These are some things that I care not a wit: UFO stories. Baseball stories. Obscure Naval battles. These are the things I have thoroughly enjoyed on this podcast: UFO stories. Baseball stories. Obscure Naval battles. I have been dragged, unwillingly mind you, into broadening the depth of my character. Thanks John for the great job. I came for the Classic Short Stories and stayed for Shoeless Joe. Who woulda thunk it?

The best content available for inquiring minds.

I’ve listened to lots of good podcast hosts and presenters but none of them retain my attention like Jon Hagadorn with his 1001 stories networks. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of topics that he covers because they are extremely well researched and narrated. I especially enjoy his commentary. He has a natural radio voice that captures the attention of his audience with excellent inflection, pausing, and other speaking attributes which make him, in my opinion, one of the best podcast hosts and presenters available today. I recently started downloading his stories for the road series and find them very entertaining. One of them, by Agatha Christie, showed his ability to assume a characters persona. His mimicry of accents was spot on. His 1001 stories network has a plethora of topics for everyone to enjoy. Listening in will bring you back to the days of radio shows from eons ago. Remember when the a.m. stations used to broadcast stories and shows at night? Well you can get that and more at anytime of the day. I hope you folks enjoy listening to Jon Hagadorn present his many shows as much as I do.

Excellent, just excellent

I run each day approximately 10 miles and I’m always looking for an interesting podcast to take along with me. I just started listening to this podcast series... and my oh my... this is just excellent. So well researched and narrated. I started with the 3 part Custer series... and I was so pleased with the way the story was handled. Great job! I can’t wait to listen to more!! Be safe and be well!! Thank you for presenting American history in such a magnificent manner!

1001 loud Progressive commercial

Unfortunately you critic was right but didn’t explain the problem. Progressive has sent you commercials that are recorded at a higher level than your broadcast. When they come on, they are way too loud. Have them record them at a better level.

Content is great, Progressive ad is driving me away.

This podcast is very informative and entertaining. One of my favorites. That being said, if I have to listen to another motorcycle insurance advertisement from progressive insurance, I am unsubscribing. The blare of the motorcycle ears and I’m scrambling to find my phone volume switch. Not my idea of a relaxing evening listening to a podcast.

Magnificent: for lack of a better word.

This is the best podcast. The stories are simply fantastic. The heroes are amazing, the legends are timeless, the history is enthralling and the mysteries are captivating. Jon is a wonderful choice for a friendly voice to guide us through each adventure. I started listening when I was curious about the story of Bonnie and Clyde and became addicted. Now I await each Sunday for a new episode. The theme music starts and I am ready to be taken on another epic adventure, smothered with insight, facts, opinions and gems. It’s also nice in this polarized time of our country that this remains neutral on current politics. Thank you for that!! Highly recommend listening. If you have already heard/read whichever story is covered by this show, have a listen, you are likely to hear something about it that you never knew. Keep up the awesome work.

Very well researched and objective...

I just found this podcast based on the Bridey Murphy topic. It was fantastic to hear a well-researched and objective version of the story without the "skeptical" predeliction to begin with a non-belief and refuse to listed to any evidence that isn't consistent with that viewpoint. This talked about both sides, rather than simply choosing to discard actual evidence.

Good story telling

It’s like someone gave my grandpa a podcast. Stories about monsters, aliens, heros, and WW2. Clunky format , abrupt adds, and odd editing choices, only seem to add to the charm.

Amazing!

There are problems

Ok so I like the stories and stuff but just to many ads. Also there are issues with the editing. Like sometimes you trim to little or to much, or worse, not at all. It’s not to often I hear it but when I do I bugs the crap out of me. I love the stories you give out, so four stars for the ads.

My favorite podcast.

I have learned so much from this podcast! I have listened to many episodes twice, because there is so much information I often can’t take it in the first time. In addition, there is such a large variety of topics, that I’m learning about stuff I never even knew existed. If you have a thirst for knowledge, this is the podcast for you!!!!
